The Lower Saxony Digital Science Support Space project supports researchers at universities and higher education institutions across Lower Saxony through cross-institutional services in high-performance computing, research software engineering and artificial intelligence.
Focus areas
Infrastructure for digital research
Support services in infrastructure, consulting and training are being consolidated to advance research digitalisation. DS³ also directs enquiries concerning other digital methods to suitable experts and local contact points.
High-performance computing
Expansion of basic HPC provision through three Tier 3 systems at the Braunschweig, Göttingen and Hannover locations.
Research Software Engineering
Support for durable research software, virtual laboratories and sustainable development processes.

AI-supported tools and consulting help researchers apply data-driven methods and digital workflows.
